Our Wellbeing Award for Schools Achievement We are delighted to announce that The Village School has been awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS), recognising our ongoing commitment to promoting and supporting the wellbeing of our students, staff, and families. This prestigious award is a significant achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our entire school community. Over the past year, we have continued to place wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every member of our community feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. What is the Wellbeing Award for Schools? The Wellbeing Award for Schools is a nationally recognised accreditation that acknowledges schools which demonstrate an outstanding commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. The award evaluates how effectively a school supports the emotional wellbeing of students, staff, and the wider school community through its culture, policies, practices, and provision. Schools undertaking the award process are assessed against a set of rigorous standards, which focus on areas such as leadership, teaching and learning, staff wellbeing, student voice, support systems, and engagement with parents and carers. Achieving the award demonstrates that wellbeing is embedded throughout the school and is a key priority in school development. A Community Effort At The Village School, we believe that positive wellbeing is fundamental to learning, personal growth, and success. Throughout our journey towards achieving this award, we have strengthened our wellbeing provision through a range of initiatives designed to support mental health, emotional resilience, positive relationships, and a sense of belonging. TVS Selected for Tesco Stronger Starts Grants Programme! We are delighted to share some exciting news with our school community. The Village School has been chosen to take part in the Tesco Stronger Starts Grants Programme, giving us the chance to receive funding for our project for outdoor learning equipment. This project aims to enhance outdoor learning for our pupils by improving our outdoor spaces, adding inclusive equipment, and creating more accessible learning opportunities for all learners. How the Tesco Vote Works From Tuesday 28th April 2026 until the end of July 2026, customers in selected Tesco stores will be able to vote for local community projects using blue tokens received at checkout. The projects with the most votes will receive funding of up to £1,500. Every token truly makes a difference!
