Mission Statement:
The Village School is dedicated to providing inclusive, nurturing education for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Our school community spans five unique "villages"—Primary, Main School, Kay Charles Village, Kingsbury Village, and Hope Village—each contributing to a diverse and vibrant learning environment. At the heart of our mission is the belief that our students' educational journeys can be continually enriched, both within our classrooms and in the wider spaces around our school.

Our Purpose:
As the PTA, our goal is to enhance every aspect of our school environment to support the sensory, academic, and developmental needs of our exceptional learners. We also aim to build a strong sense of community engagement, ensuring that all students, families, and staff feel a shared commitment to growth and inclusion.

Meetings and Involvement:
Our PTA committee, formed just last year, meets in school every other month, providing a welcoming space for collaboration and planning. We encourage new staff and parents to join us, either as committee members or as part of our Steering Group. Our next Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 4 2024, and all interested are invited to attend!

Get in Touch:
We’d love to welcome you to the PTA! Whether you’d like to join, pledge support, or simply learn more about our work and fundraising activities, please reach out to us at: friendsofthevillage@compasslp.co.uk.

Upcoming Events:
After the fantastic success of our Summer Fête this year, we’re excited to host another in 2025! We’re also planning a cozy seasonal day for our staff and children and a festive raffle. Additionally, we’ll be holding a clothes-swapping event for parents and staff, complete with tea, cake, and a warm welcome.

Our Achievements So Far:
Since forming last year, the PTA has successfully raised funds to support valuable additions to our school, including a beautiful play kitchenette for our primary students. This resource enhances their "Preparation for Adulthood" curriculum by encouraging learning through play. We are also thrilled to announce that we can now purchase specialised tables for our art classes, making them more accessible to our PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) learners.
